Great article on Mr Anderson
Interesting stats and a great article from Football 365 on Felipe and how he turned the Palace full back Wan-Bissaka inside out where others have failed and this quote sums him up

He is the anti-stereotype: a uniquely skilful South American with steel to match. In fact, he has already made more tackles in the Premier League this season (39) than Payet managed in his entire West Ham spell (33).

When he next has a few quiet games you'll all be saying he's shit again.

I'd like us to sign a proper defensive leftback so he doesn't have to do much tacking at all.

Filipe Anderson is go.

Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
The way he glides past players so effortlessly is impressive, not as flashy as Payet but there's no doubt he's class. Nice one Pellers. I'm sure some clown will be along in a couple of minutes to claim that Bilic signed him.

Yes, agree with that. My only slight criticism would be that he seems to do a lot of his best work fairly deep, would love to see him running at defenders in and around the box more.

I really enjoy watching him play football, and at the moment he is producing where it matters most, in th opposition's half.

I'm not going to analyse much more than that.

I do like the comment that suggests our next step will be to loan him out to Villa. Well played that man!

I agree, Its like saying Noble didn't curl the ball into top corner to score or hit a 40 yard pass this week useless cunt

I still find him hot and cold and often he disappoints me by losing the ball, but he is for sure one of our better players who should always be in the starting 11.

I saw Arthur have to defend against McArthur, Townsend, Zaha & Bissaka at differing times on the right against Nigel Palace.

He did well considering they like to mix it up in their attack mode.

Have said it before and will say it again: he is the most ntelligent player on any pitch you place him.

Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
suspect it's something to do with payet hitting the ground running while it took anderson a couple of months.

there's a certain type of person who would rather he'd stayed shit rather make all their moaning about how he'd never make it and is massive waste of money look like the waffling bollocks it is.

Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
He doesn't so much as tackle, but he is constantly dispossessing players. He tracks them, whips out a foot lightning quick, and takes the ball off them. He often loses it as quickly as he gets it, but the more confident he's becoming, the more often he's getting the ball and keeping possession.

Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
Is it strange that his stats are as good if not better than payets but i still dont have him down as payets level?

Why was there so much more hype around payet than there is Anderson?

El Scorchio 4:51 Wed Dec 12
Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
If he's a GOOD tackler then I'm a monkey's uncle- he certainly has been putting effort into defending though which is more than Payet ever did. I'm happy he's grafting for the cause.

As mentioned though, it's not what we paid the money for- it's the other end of the pitch and anything defensive out of him is a pure bonus. While I still think he's been a little inconsistent and gives the ball away more than I'd like, he's getting better and better and more effective each game and on the whole looking very good and still improving. If he keeps banging them in at the rate he's going, then that's brilliant.

Re: Great article on Mr Anderson
eggbert, didn't you watch the game? bissaka had mccarthur supposedly confront of him but he kept drifting inside where he naturally played bissaka played as attacking wingback in a 4-4-2. why should anderson follow him/man mark him for ninety minutes if that was the only player arthur had to worry about? I'm not sure what you cunts are moaning about but I think Anderson's doing great and if rather him cause problems going forward than babysit our left back
